Joaquin Rabbit

Joaquin Rabbit is your guide for the areas of Adelanto, Joshua Tree, Jurupa Valley, Ontario, and San Bernardino, all of which are part of his natural habitat.

Joaquin Rabbit is a black-tailed jackrabbit who lives throughout Southern California among many of the grasses and shrubs where our plant friends can be found. Black-tailed jackrabbits or American desert hares are the third largest rabbits in North America, but unlike other rabbits, Joaquin doesn't hibernate or migrate during the year. Black-tailed jackrabbits are smart, attentive, scrappy, and independent. Even their young are born ready to brave the complex and dynamic landscapes of Southern California.
